Who is Neli

In 2003, I left Bulgaria to start over in Quebec — with my 4-year-old daughter, 4 suitcases, $100 in my pocket, and not a word of French. My dental technician degree was not recognized. I couldn't go back to school. So I worked — sometimes 60 to 65 hours a week, in physical jobs, to support my family. Years of sacrifices, a divorce, raising my child alone. Then life gave me a second chance: love, stability, and finally the time to dedicate myself to what I'm truly passionate about — fashion, and especially bags. Neli Bags is the result of this long journey. Each piece is chosen with the same care I would have wanted for myself from the start.

What material are your bags made of? Are they real leather?

Our bags are made from premium vegan leather (high-quality PU) with reinforced stitching and metal hardware. We chose vegan leather because it allows us to offer structured silhouettes and warm, uniform tones at a fraction of the price of full-grain leather — without the ethical concerns of animal skins. The construction is designed to last several seasons of daily use.

How long does delivery to Canada take?

Orders are shipped within 24 hours of placement. Standard shipping within Canada takes 7-14 business days; expedited shipping (3-6 business days) is available at checkout. You will receive tracking as soon as your order ships. International shipping takes 10-18 business days.

What if the bag doesn't suit me?

We understand — bags are personal. You have 30 days from delivery to return any unworn item for a full refund or exchange. Just keep the original packaging and contact us through our contact page — we make it easy. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, but returns are free for Canadian customers.

Will the hardware tarnish or flake?

No. Our hardware is electroplated metal (not coated plastic)—it will not turn green, chip, or peel with normal use. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfume, or harsh cleansers, and your hardware will look brand new for years. We stand by this with our 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

How to clean and care for my bag?

Wipe gently with a slightly damp microfibre cloth — no soap, no chemicals. For deeper cleaning, use a specialized vegan leather cleaner. Store your bag stuffed (with paper or our included dust bag) in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid overfilling, and alternate the shoulder you wear it on to preserve the strap’s shape.
